Water-Fed-Pole System
You most likely know that if you tried to clean a window by turning a hose pipe on it, it would dry milky white and streaky due to the impurities and mineral deposits in the water.
The water-fed-pole system bypasses this problem by using 100% pure de-ionised water fed to a window cleaning brush on extension poles leaving the windows to dry naturally spot free.
Technical Stuff

If you were to test the tap water in the Hull area with a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter, it would come out as between 300 and 430ppm (parts per million).in Newcastle, it is slightly less, around 200ppm, all of which is fine for drinking, but still by far not pure enough to clean windows with. If you want to wash glass and end up with perfectly clean windows, you need to extract or filter out ALL of the minerals and deposits in the water leaving a TDS reading of 000.To make the water pure, it is therefore passed through a very extensive and rigorous set of filters and machinery using a system called reverse osmosis. This distills and filters ALL of the minerals and impurities out of the water leaving it chemically pure H20.
The precedent has been set by the replacement window industry, where glass used to produce double glazed sealed units is washed and rinsed using de-mineralised and de-ionised water prior to assembly. This is the reason that sealed units will remain optically perfect for many years, until the seal is damaged.
What Can I Expect?
No ladders! Thus avoiding the disaster scenario to the left!
Your windows will still be cleaned on a monthly basis, but as traditional window cleaning leaves behind sticky soap residue (which attracts fresh dirt back to the window), windows cleaned with the Water-Fed-Pole system actually stay cleaner for longer.
Although I will do my best to rinse away as much as possible of the previously mentioned soap residue left from previous cleaning methods, please allow for some slight ‘spotting’ for the first clean. Soap tends to lodge around the edge of the frames, and it may take a few cleans to completely rinse it away. After each clean you will notice the result improve until ultimately the finish will effectively be sterile.
I'm certain you'll be as happy with this cleaning system as I am, but if you have any questions about it, please feel free to contact me and I'll try to alleviate any of your concerns.
